What is the difference between killing, murder and assassination
Killing is the act of causing death.
Assassination is the targeted killing (murder) of a public figure or prominent person which is prompted by ideological, political, or military reasons. Assassination is carried out by a surprise, sudden or secret attack.

Murder is the crime of deliberately killing any person.
