What is cold ocean currents and warm ocean currents?
The currents flowing from poles to equatorial region are termed as cold currents. Examples of cold currents are Benguela current, Peru current and Californian current.

The currents flowing from equatorial region towards poles are known as warm currents. Examples of warm currents are the North Atlantic Drift, Gulf stream and Brazilian current.
