what are noble gases ?
The last group of the periodic table that is numbered as 18th group contains all the noble elements or rare elements or Noble gases. These elements contain ns2, np6 valence shell electronic configuration therefore they do not have a tendency to react with other elements to form compounds. That is the reason; these elements are called as Noble elements. They are
  1. Helium
  2. Neon
  3. Argon
  4. Krypton
  5. Xenon  &
  6. Radon
