What is Bonding???

Attraction between atoms that allows the formation of chemical substances that contain 2 or more atoms is chemical bonding .The bond is caused by the electrostatic force of attraction between opposite charges either between electrons and nucleus or as a result of dipole attraction .

There are mainly two types of bonding
   (i) covalent bonding
   (ii) ionic bonding
A covalent bonding results when two atoms  share valence electron between them ,
an ionic bond occurs when one atom gains a valence electron from a different atom forming a negative and positive ion respectively .
