The ratio of two numbers is 2:3.If both the numbers are increased by 8 their ratio becomes 10:13.Find the number.

a / b = 2 / 3

(a + 8) / (b + 8) = 10 / 13

a  x 3 = 2 x 2
13 (a + 8) = 10 x (b + 8)

3a = 2b
13a + 104 = 10b + 80

3a = 2b
13a  + 24 = 10b

3a = 2b
a = (2/3) b

13 x (2/3) x b  + 24 = 10b
13 x 2b + 72 = 30b
26b  + 72 = 30b
72 = 4b
b = 18

a = (2/3) x b
a = (2/3) x 18
a = 12

Numbers are 12 and 18.
