Explain the role of agriculture diversification in promoting rural prosperity and government's role in this contest?
It has two aspects
1. Diversification of crop production.
2.Shifting of work force from agriculture to other allied activities such as live stock, poultry fisheries and non agricultural sector.
Advantages are reducing the rush from agriculture sector , providing productive sustainable livelihood options to rural people, improving food security, alleviating poverty generating employment opportunities.
