write 3 differences between: 1. sperm & egg 2.embryo & zygote 3.budding & binary fission 4.viviparous & oviparous 5.zygote & foetus |
1.Sperm produced in the male reproductive organ and egg in the female reproductive organ. In the process of sperm cell formation, a motile spermatozoa is produced. While in egg cell formation, an ovum in spherical in shape and immobile. It is produced and is bigger in size than the sperm cell. 2. They are similar. A zygote forms after fertilization. A zygote becomes an embryo which becomes a fetus. An embryo is a multicellular diploid eukaryote in its earliest stage of development. 3. In budding, the new organism is formed from the old organism. In binary fission, the old organism separate to form two new organisms. 4.Viviparous animals give birth to young onesThe fertilised zygote develops in the body of the mother.Chances of survival is more as the embryo gets nourished from the mother. Oviparous lay fertilized or unfertilized eggs. The fertilised eggs has a hard calcareous shell. 5. Zygote is single cellular and foetus is multicellular. No well defined body parts and foetus well defined body parts. Zygote is formed during fertilization and embryo formation is post fertilization process. |
