How does deforestation reduce rainfall in one hand and lead to floods on the other hand?

Increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere due to deforestation leads to global warming, as carbondioxide traps the heat rays reflected by the earth. The increase in temperature on the earth disturbs the water-cycle and reduces rainfall.Further, deforestation leads to decrease in the water holding capacity of the soil. So, the movement of water from the soil surface into the ground is reduced which brings the flood. So,deforestation reduce rainfall on the one hand and lead to floods on the other.
