On what principal does carburet work

Carburettor is that chamber of an internal combustion engine in which air is mixed with petrol vapors.Air is allowed to enter through a nozzle with high velocity.The pressure is lowered at that point and petrol is sucked up into the chamber.The petrol vaporise quickly.The mixed vapors of petrol and air are then fed into the cylinder of internal combustion engine.
