An astronomical telescope consists of two lens system.The lens system facing the object is called objective.It has large aperture and is of large focal length(fo).The other lens system is called eye piece.It has small aperture and is of short focal length(fe).Magnifying power of a telescope depends upon the focal lengths of the objective and the eye piece of the telescope.
