| Take a strip of cleaned zinc metal and cut it into suitable size .Add two pieces into a beaker containing FeSO4 solution .Keep the beaker undisturbed for one hour .The green colour of ferrous sulphate solution disappears .We can see that iron metal is settling down at the bottom of the beaker .That is Zn displace Fe from FeSO4 solution .The reaction can be written as Zn + FeSO4 _________> ZnSO4 + Fe |
