what is histology?
Histology, (the study of tissues) or microanatomy, provides valuable information on the functional morphology of man and animals. Its understanding is a key link between anatomy and areas of physiology, pharmacology, molecular biology & pathology.

Techniques usually involve optical or electron microscopy of stained tissue sections.
