what do you mean by mayers relation(Cp-Cv=R)
Mayer was a German physicist and one of the founders of thermodynamics derived a relation between specific heat at constant pressure and the specific heat at constant volume for an ideal gas .The relationship is Cp-Cv=R ,where Cp is the specific heat at constant presure ,Cv is the specific  heat at constant volume ,R is the universal gas constant .
