why earth is called blue planet?

The Earth is called  the blue planet essentially because almost 90 percent of its surface is water, and this is the home of 90 percent of the living creatures originate and still exists here. The name can also be attributed to the color of the atmosphere as it can be seen as blue when the sun is bright. From space, the Earth’s color is electric blue. The plentiful oceans and the rich coral reefs all add to this color.
