what are the characteristics of a political party ?

The main  some characteristics of a political party are :
  • A party is generally known by what it stands for, which policies it supports and whose interests it upholds.
  •  As each parties are in different views on what is good for all,  each parties try to persuade people why their policies are better than others. 
  • They try to implement these policies by winning popular support through elections.
  • They agree on some policies and programmes for the society with a view to promote collective good. Parties are a part of society and thus involve partisanship. 
  •  All parties run with the help of it's leaders, active members, and supporters.
