WHAT IS A POTENTIOMETRE

A potentiometer is a device used to accurately measure the e.m.f. of a voltage source or potential difference between two points in an electrical circuit.
The potentiometer basically measures the potential difference between two points but on this basis,it can be used to make several other measurements. The man advantage of this device is that it can measure the potential difference without drawing current.
