Combustion is a chemical reaction involving combination of substances with oxygen or air generally accompanied by the production of heat and light .

Combustible substance  : A substance which can burn in air or oxygen is called a combustible substance .
Example  :coal  ,coke ,wood ,petrol ,phosphorus ,alcohol ,paper 
                 Gases  :Hydrogen ,Carbon monoxide

Non combustible substance  : A substance which cannot burn in air or oxygen is called a non combustible substance .
Example  :   sand ,stone .gold , lead bromide 
                    Gases  :  Chlorine ,Oxygen 

Supporter of combustion  :  It is the gaseous environment that supports combustion by allowing occurrence of oxidation .
Gaseous environment of -Chlorine ,oxygen 

Non-supporter of combustion  :  It is the gaseous environment that does not allow oxidation to occur .
Gaseous environment of hydrogen ,nitrogen ,hydrogenchloride,carbonmonoxide and CO2
