WHAT IS MEAN BY NEWTONS SECOND LAW OF MOTION |
Newton's Laws of Motion Newton gave three laws to explain the motion of a body. 1.Newton's First Law (Law of Inertia) According to Newton’s first law of motion: A body at rest will remain at rest, and a body in motion will continue in motion in a straight line with a uniform speed, unless it is compelled by an external force to change its state of rest or of uniform motion. 2.Newton's second law of motion. It states that the time rate of change of momentum of a body is directly proportional to the external force applied on it, and the change in momentum takes place along the direction of the force. 3.Newton's Third Law of Motion If states that to every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Action and Reaction forces are always equal in magnitude, opposite in direction and they act on different bodies |
