Find the H.C.F of 468 & 222 & then express it in the form 468x + 22y. |
First we will find the HCF of 468 and 222 by Euclid 's division lemma, 468 = 222 × 2 + 24 222 = 24 ×9 + 6 24 = 6 × 4 + 0 Since remainder is 0, so HCF of 468 and 222 is 6. Now, By trial and error method, 468x + 222y = HCF => 468x + 222y = 6 If we put (1/4) in 'x ' and (-2/4) in y we can express the HCF in this form. 468(1/4) + 222(-2/4) = 117 - 111 = 6 So, Value of x will be 1/4 and y would be -2/4 . |
