WHAT IS AMPERE?

Ampere : If one coulomb of charge flows through any section of a conductor in one second, then current through it is said to be one ampere.
1 ampere =  1 coulomb/1 second or 1 A = 1 C/1 s = 1 Cs-1
The smaller units of current are milliampere and microampere.
