Which year did Panipat battle was fought?
Three important battles were fought in Panipat:
  • First Battle of Panipat in 1526.
  • Second Battle of Panipat in 1556.
  • Third Battle of Panipat in 1761.
The First Battle of Panipat (1526):-This marked the beginning of the Mughal Empire in India.
The Second Battle of Panipat(1556):- It marked the restoration of Mughal power after the expulsion of the emperor Hum?y?n by the Afghan Sh?r Shah of S?r in 1540.
The Third Battle of Panipat ( 1761) :- This war ended the Maratha attempt to succeed the Mughals as rulers of India and marked the virtual end of the Mughal empire.
