what is the use of grignard and tollens reagent?
Organomagnesium halides are called Grignard reagents .They are highly reactive and can be used in the synthesis of alkanes, alkenes,alcohols ,ketones and carboxylic acids .
Tollen's reagent is an ammoniacal solution of silver oxide .It can be used to oxidise aldehydes.
