why does the false ceilings keeps the room warm during winter
Air a bad conductor though it is a good convector. During summer the air in between the real and false ceiling will serve this purpose. Some how the hot air will at the top and as only heat comes right from the top. It is not the case of giving heat to water in vessel right from the bottom of the vessel. So air convection gets stopped and being air very bad conductor, heat will not be passed downward, hence the cooling in the room..
