What happens to the gravity of the earth when we go inside the earth?

While our "weight" (the gravitational force exerted on us by the mass of the Earth) will be zero at the center, the pressure we  would experience (the weight of the earth pressing down on us) would be quite high. As we  move closer to the earths center, we  should have an ever increasing amount of mass above us and a decreasing amount below us. When we finally reach the very center there will be an equal mass surrounding us  in every direction. Therefore, gravity should be pulling us  in every direction equally with a canceling effect. There would be NO DIRECTIONAL GRAVITY and the effect would be weightlessness!
