what is Swartz reaction? explain the reaction.
Fluoro derivatives of alkanes can be obtained by heating a chloroalkane or bromoalkane with a metallic fluoride such as AgF ,Hg2F2 ,CoF3 or SbF3 .The reaction is called Swartz reaction .

Example : CH3Br  +AgF  heat >   CH3F  +AgBr
                  bromo                          fluoro
                  methane                    methane
