WHAT WOULD BE THE DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTIONS IN VARIOUS SHELLS FOR CARBON?HOW MANY VALENCE ELECTRONS WILL CARBON HAVE?
Carbon have 6 electrons ,
Number of electrons in the K shell of carbon = 2
Number of electrons in the L shell of carbon  = 4
The distribution of electrons in carbon can be written as =2,4 ,so carbon have 4 electrons in its valence shell (outer most shell ) .
