WHAT ABOUT THE DOUBLE BOND ?

A double  bond is a chemical bond between two chemical elements involving four bonding electrons instead of the usual two .
Example : (1)Double bond found in alkenes (Here the double bond is  between two carbon atoms )
               (2) Double bond found in carbonyl group (Here the double bond is between carbon and oxygen )
Double bonds are stronger than single bonds and they are electron rich which makes them reactive .
