Non-cooperation movement was launched under the leadership of Mahatma
Gandhi. It
generated desire for independence and inspired the people to come out from
foreign
yolk. The movement was first mass movement as it encompassed many sections
of
Indian peasants, workers, artisans, shopkeepers, students, traders and
professionals.
