the non cooperation in cities gradually slow down why? |
The Non-Cooperation Movement gradually slowed down in the cities because. (1) Khadi cloth was very expensive than mass produced mill cloth and poor people could not afford to buy it. (2) For the success of this movement, it is necessary to set up alternative Indian institutions. So that people who participate in this movement could be used in place of British ones. But this was a slow process. So, students and teachers began trickling back to government schools and lawyers joined back their work in government courts. |
