Abdul while driving to school,computes the average speed for his trip to be 20km/h.On bis return trip along the same away,there is a less traffic and the average speed is 30km/h.what is the average speed for the Abdul's trip ?

Let x be the distance
                 t1= x / 20
Let t2 be the time taken for the return trip
t2 = x / 30
Total time taken = x/20 + x/30
                         = 50x / 600
                         = 5/60 x
Average speed = d/t
                        = 2x / 5/60 x
                        =  120 /5
                        = 24 km/h
