WHAT IS A CONSTELLATION?

When a group of stars form a pattern in the sky,it is called a constellation.Ancient people named these constellations after animals or mythological characters.Out of the 88 known constellations,some of the famous and easily identifiable ones include Ursa Major,Ursa Minor,Orion,Scorpio, and Cassioppeia.Some constellations can be seen easily with the naked eye while others are visible only through the telescope.
