WHO WAS CHANDRAGUPTHA MAURYA
Chandra Gupta Maurya was the founder of Mauryan Empire. He was dismissed from the Service of Nandas who ruled before him.He met Kautilya known as Chanakya who was also wronged by the Nandas and both of them joined together to destroy the Nanda Dynasty. Chandra Gupta Maurya occupied Punjab in 322 BC and thus started the Maurya Dynasty.A year later in 321 BC he attacked and annexed Magadha and made Pataliputra his capital.
