What is Electromagnet? What is its uses?

 1. It is a temporary magnet. It shows magnetism only as long as the current is passing through a coil.

 2. It can produce very strong magnetic field.

 3. The strength of an electromagnet can be easily varied by changing the strength of current or number of turns in the coil.

 4. The polarity of an electromagnet can be reversed by sending the current in reverse direction.
