Lake Manasarovar (Mapam Yumco), or Manasa Sarovar/Lake Manas, is a freshwater lake in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China 940 kilometres (580 mi) from Lhasa. To the west of Lake Manasarovar is Lake Rakshastal; toward the north is Mount Kailash.
