Why propene is more stable than ethane?

We know that hydrocarbons are classified into 3 based on the bonding of atoms. Alkanes,Alkenes,Alkynes.Alkanes are hydrocarbons with only single bonds between the atoms. Alkenes are hydrocarbons with at least one double bond. Alkynes are hydrocarbons with at least one triple bond.here propene is alkenes and ethane is alkane.Least reactive alkanes are saturated hydrocarbons, while alkene and alkyne not. Alkanes undergo susbstitution reaction while others under go addition reactions rather.

Alkanes rule is CnH2n+2 while alkene CnH2n and alkyne CnH2n-2.
Propene

 Ethane

The propene and ethane having the same number of hydrogen atoms. but double bonds are stronger than single bond and double bonds are also shorter. The bond order is two. Double bonds are also electron-rich, which makes them reactive. So propene is more stable than ethane
