WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THE WORD "ALNICO"?

Alnico, any of several magnetic alloys composed of iron, aluminum, nickel, and cobalt. Some alnicos also contain copper and titanium. A magnet made of alnico is many times stronger than one of similar size made of iron or steel. Alnico magnets are commonly used in magnetic compasses, telephone receivers, loudspeakers, and instruments that measure electric current.
