DEFINE POWER OF A LENS. WHAT ITS UNIT?
It is the reciprocal of focal length.P = 1/f and is measured in dioptre(D).
It is a general convention to take power of converging lens positive and diverging lens negative.
When f is in cm,P = 100/f in dioptre.
