What drop placed on a lotus leaf is spherical while the same drop spread on a plastic plate.why?
Because the force of adhesion between the water and the lotus surface is weaker than cohesion among water molecules,so the drop remains in its shape.

In the case of plastic,force of adhesion exceeds the cohesive force,hence due to larger attraction,water drop spills over it.
