EXPLAIN ABOUT TIEDES? |
The rise and fall of sea water due to gravitational force of the Sun and the Moon are called tides. Tides are formed twice a day at regular intervals. These are formed due to the gravitational attraction of the Moon and the Sun which they exert on the surface of the Earth. They increase the depth of sea near coastal regions, enabling the ships to come closer to the coasts. It keep the sea water in motion reducing the chances of freezing of seas.It keep the coastal regions clean of mud and debris deposited by rivers. They help the fishermen go deep into the sea and return safely. Tidal waves are used for generating electricity. |
