A person standing on a road has to ho;d his umbrella at 60 degree with the vertical to keep the rain away. He throws the umbrella and starts running at 20m/s. He find that rain drops are hitting his head vertically. find the speed of rain drops with respect to a)the road b) the moving person

the velocity of rain with respect to ground
 v is
the velocity of rain with respect to man

 tan60 = BC/AB
 AB=20/sqrt(3)
 =11.56 m/s

 similarly sin60= BC /AC
 AC=40/sqrt(3)
 =23.2m/s
