WRITE 13x - 12y = 25 AS y = mx + c. HENCE FIND m AND c. VERIFY IF x = 1, y = 1 IS A SOLUTION?

13x - 12y = 25
implies -12y = -13x + 25
ie,        y = (13/12)x + -25/12
This is of the form y = mx + c
Here m = 13/12   and c = -25/12
If we put x = 1 and  y = 1 in 13x - 12y = 25 gives 13 - 12 = 1not equal to 25.
Hence x = 1 and y = 1 are not the solution of  the given equation.
