what is mean by a coordination compound? and an example?
The compounds containing complex ions are called coordination compounds .These compounds are present in minerals ,plants ,animals etc.
For example ,the pigment responsible for photosynthesis ,is a coordination compound of magnesium .The respiration process is regulated by the blood pigment ,haemoglobin which is a coordination compound of iron .
