what is the acceleration due to gravity at the centre of the earth?
We have acceleration due to gravity ,g = G x M / R2
We find that the value of g is inversly proportional to the square of distance from the centre of the earth .As we go up from the surface of the earth ,the distance from the centre of the earth increases ,and hence the value of g decreases.
