For what value of 'a' the system of linear equation have no solution. ax + 3y = a - 3 and 12x + ay = a
Here the given pair of linear equations is
ax + 3y = a-3
12x + ay = a
They can be written as
ax + 3y - (a - 3) = 0 --------- (1)
12x + ay - a = 0      ---------- (2)
Rx = a/12
Ry = 3/a
Rc = -(a - 3)/-a
Since given pair of equations has no solution,
Rx = Ry not equal to -(a - 3)/-a
Equating first and second
a/12 = 3/a
a2 = 36
a = +6,-6
