The history of oriya literature has been delineated by historians
and linguists alone the following stages . Old oriya
(900-1300 ad) early middle oriya (1300-1500 ad) middle oriya
(1500-1700 ad) late middle oriya(1700-1850 ad)
and modern oriya(1850-to the present ad).
