REPUBLIC DAY

It was on  january  26,1950  when  India  become  a  sovereign  democratic  republic.So,Republic  Day  is  celebrated  every   year  on  january 26.

On  this  day  the  president  of  India  takes  the  salute  of  the  armed  forces,police,scouts & guides,fire bridge etc. Usually  Heads  of  Governments  of  foreign  countries  will  be  the  chiefguests.Display  of  folk  dances  from  different  states  is  the  main  attraction  of  the  festivities.
