1. What are three types of neurons?
Ans
The three types of neurons are Unipolar, Bipolar and Multipolar
Unipolar:- Have only one process from the cell body. The single short process splits into longer processes (a dendrite plus an axon). Unipolar neurons are sensory neurons conducting impulses into the central nervous system.
Bipolar: It has two process, one axon and one dendrite. These neurons are also sensory. eg: Bipolar neurons can be seen in the retina of the eye.
Multipolar: They have many multiprocesses that extend from the cell body. They have lot of dendrites plus an axon. These neurons are either motor or associating communications between neurons with in the central nervous system.
