1. Word Processing

Word Processing is a software used in computer for preparing notes,notices,project report etc. In word processing we can design letters, notices etc .

Kword, Writer, Abiword, MS Word etc are examples of Word Processing.

2. Open office Writer

Open Office Writer is a software used to prepare beautiful notices, write-ups etc in a computer.

It is used to prepare :

♦ Notices   ♦ Name Slips  ♦ Invitation Letters   ♦ Seminar Reports   ♦ Greeting Cards.

3. Observe the two models given below. What all differences do you notice between these two models?

In the first model the matters are typed in general model .That is there was no alignment and formatting.

In the Second model ,the first  or beginning line of words in each paragraph is positioned a bit inwardly when compared to other lines.

  • The matter has been divided into three distinct paragraphs.
  • The title Dr.B.R AMBEDKAR is given centralized,Bold and Italic.
  • More is the space in between the lines.

4. How to Present a paragraph ?

  • Select the particular paragraph.
  • Open the paragraph window : Format → Paragraph
  • Bring out the necessary changes ,clicking on Alignment tab.
  • Then click OK.

5. Arrange the space between lines.

  • Select the particular Paragraph.
  • Bring about the necessary changes in ,Clicking on the in the paragraph window.Line Spacing Indent and Spacing tab
  • Then click OK.

6. First Line indent

First Line Indent means,the inward positioning of the first line of a paragraph.

  • Select the Paragraph
  • Bring about the necessary changes in the first line inside the indent,click on the in the paragraph window.Indent & Spacing tab
  • Then click OK

7. Page Border

Format → Page .

Click on the Border tab in the opened window, select the necessary border style.

Click on the background tab in the Page Style window and give suitable background color.

8. Arrange Margins

Select the page tab in the window .

Then bring about the necessary changes in the margins.

9. To include picture in a document.

Insert→ Picture → From File
