   Five threes means 5 × 3 = 15

4. Substract 12 from 30 .

    30 - 12 = 18
   

5. 47 + 9 .

  

6. 12 minus 8 , plus 7 .

    12 - 8 = 4
     4 + 7 = 11
     So 12 - 8 + 7 = 11

7. Find the product of 3 and 9

      3 × 9 = add 9 three times

           ie, 9 + 9 + 9 = 27

          So   3 × 9  = 27

8. Take Rs 3.50 from Rs 5 .

    Rs. 5 - Rs . 3.50
                  = Rs . 1.50
                                      

10. How many 50p coins make Rs 9 ?

       Two 50p coins make Re.1
       Four 50p coins make Rs.2
       Six 50p coins make Rs.3
       Eight 50p coins make Rs.4
       Ten 50p coins make Rs.5
        Twelve 50p coins make Rs.6
        Fourteen 50p coins make Rs.7
        Sixteen 50p coins make Rs.8
        Eighteen 50p coins make Rs.9
