♦ Select a category from the submenu that appears. For example, select an 8pointer star from Stars and Banners category.

The Slide Master is an element of the design template that stores information about the template including font styles, place holder sizes and positions, background design and color schemes.

The Slide Master allows making global changes such as replacing the font style and applying it to all the slides in the presentation at once. The slide master is typically used to do the following.

◊ Changing the font or bullets.

◊ Inserting art such as a logo that has to appear on multiple slides.

◊ Changing placeholder positions, size and formatting.

7. What is the use of drawing toolbar? What are the steps to draw an object in the slide?

The drawing toolbar is present at the bottom of the MS power point Window. It has various drawing objects like a line, an arrow, a square, a circle and other shapes.

The following are the steps to draw an object in a presentation.

1. From the Drawing toolbar, select the appropriate tool like line, square or circle.

2. Position the mouse pointer over the slide where you want to draw the object. The mouse pointer changes to a plus sign (+).

3. While keeping mouse button pressed, drag the mouse to draw the object.

8. What do you mean by hyperlink? Write the steps to create a hyperlink to your presentation?

A hyperlink links one document to another. It can be a text or an image. It is very useful to show other file from current file. To create a hyperlink, follow the steps given below.

1. Select the object or text.

2. On the standard toolbar, click Insert Hyperlink button. The insert hyperlink dialog box appears.

3. Locate and select the file to display when the hyperlink is clicked.

4. Click OK to insert hyperlink in the selected object or text.

5. In the Slide Show view, click on the hyperlink. The linked document appears.

Gradient Tab allows selecting one or two colors as well as the shading styles and variants. Select the colors, shading styles and variants.

10. How to change the color of an object?

To fill an object with different colour follows the steps below:

1. Select the object.

2. On the Drawing toolbar, click the drop down arrow on the Fill color button.

3. Select the color or click More Fill colors to select a color from more color options. The Colors dialog box appears.

4. Select the color and click OK. The object is filled with new color.

11. Explain about Fill Effect and its steps to create?

Shapes and text boxes can be easily customized by adding a gradient, texture, or picture as fill. Fill effect option helps to give these effects to the selected object.

1. Select the object.

2. On the Drawing toolbar, click the drop-down arrow on the Fill color button. The fill color option appears.

3. Click Fill Effects. The Fill Effects dialog box with Gradient tab appears.

4. Click OK to apply the changes.

12. How to change the Line color?

An object has a default outline color. To change the outline color, follow the steps given below:

1. Select the object.

2. On the Drawing toolbar, click Line color drop down arrow.

3. Select the color. Click More Line Colors to select a color from more color options. The colors dialog box appears.

4. Select the Line color and click OK. The line color of the object changes to the selected color.

13. How to change the Line Style of an object?

It is possible to change the line style of an object in MS Power Point. To change the line style of an object, follow the steps given below.

1. Select the object.

2. On the Drawing toolbar, click the Line Style button. A number of line styles are displayed.

3. Click the desired line style. The line style of the object changes to the selected style.

14. How to apply shadow style to an object in MS PowerPoint?

The MS PowerPoint allows applying a shadow effect to an object. To apply a shadow effect, follow the steps:

1. Select the object.

2. On the Drawing toolbar, click the Shadow  button. A number of shadow styles are displayed.

To apply a 3-D effect to an object, follow the steps given below:

Texture tab allows selecting a texture for the selected object. Pattern tab allows selecting the Foreground and Background colors and the pattern designs to fill the object.
